Testimonials
“Always pleased with John’s work. He is skilled, attends to detail, and shows integrity with everything he does.” ~Dana P.
“John did an excellent job building a custom engine box for my sailboat. I couldn’t really visualize what would look the best so asked him to design and build it. He was very responsive and kept me up to date with ideas and build a mock-up to make sure I was happy with his plans. I out of town and he built it, painted it and I am pretty sure the boat was cleaner than I left it. The work was top-notch and just a good experience. I would highly recommend having John and Bishop Boatworks to anyone needing woodwork. In addition, estimate was right on.” ~ Stephen J.
“If you like working with someone who is skilled and reliable, John is the right choice.” ~Mary F.
Hi John,
Thanks so much for your email on the coaming. I completely understand your perspective and thank you for your assessment.
I also want to let you know about how happy I am with the work you did on my pilothouse cabin sole. It is exactly what I wanted. The four coats of polyurethane work so well.
You did a great job in communicating with me. I felt confident in your work when you informed me of every step through email and photos. Your preparation work was outstanding and left almost no wood dust in any area of the boat taking particular care to protect the electronics.
I know that you had to spend more time preparing the floor (sanding) and while I said I would be open to renegotiating the estimate, your response that you will stick to your estimate was unexpected and reassuring.
To sum, I am grateful for professional work, the thoughtful communications with me, and the fact that you brought the job in within the estimate you originally presented to me.
Best,
Rich S.
